Hey i was riding the other day(my friend and i) we were hitting some trails behind some power lines! and these boys rode up and stoped and were talking to us! and they said that we should be gettingo our nails done or something... and leave the ridding for them! so i asked him if he wanted to race and i beat his A$$ so bad! but that's not the point is kind of hit me... i grew up around guys and i still do hang out with them.. i have friends that are girls but i would rather be out on my bike then at a nail place anyday! guys.. do you think it is weird for a girl to ride and race... this one guy said it was hott but idk.. so i'm asking yalls opinion.. i reckon if i do that it migh help me better! cya l8r

I am a father with 2 daughters. My oldest and I were not finding a lot we liked to do together. Some of my favorite memories from my youth were riding my Yamaha 80, so I bought my daughter a little XR100 Honda last year. She absolutely loves it and my younger daughter like is too.
I bought an old CR250 for myself this year and she has helped me re-do the motor. It has been a great father / daughter experience for us. |

Sounds like a whack-load of insecurity on the part of the guys involved. Ladies taking on guys in a full-contact sport might be one thing -- but dirt riding is a great equalizer because skill and guts plays such a big part if you want to compete. And if you're not racing, you're competing against yourself on the trails -- so who cares what anyone else thinks.
You're gonna find jerks wherever you go -- unfortunate but unavoidable. |
