What a wild couple of first rounds it's been. KW leading the points with RC in second. Mcgrath looking good, but not quite pulling it off, in 14th place. Bubba in 12th place after busting his arm in Phoenix. Was looking forward to seeing him race in SF. Oh well...

So what do you think about how things will pan out?

As much as I'd love to see LaRocco in the top 3, I think he'll probably be more like #5. I don't know if he has the staying power to pull better than that. I see it being:

1) Carmichael
2) Reed
3) Windham
4) Tortelli
5) LaRocco

I took my son and his best friend to the Atlanta round last weekend. Every race and practice was fantastic. Both the 125 and 250 mains were unbelieveable to see. Carmichael was so fast and his recovery from the drop was something to witness. We go every year and will keep on coming back.

This was his friends forst national caliber race and he was so stoked. He was wide eyed in the pits and estaic during the semis, heats, practices and mains. It is worth the time and effort to take the younger riders to see these races.

My son is 9 and we have gone to the San Francisco Supercross together the last 3 years. He loves it. My daughter who is 6, and LOVES to ride, has no interest in watching a race at all, so she stays home. It's great to make a day out of it if you can get early entry passes to watch all the early qualifiers and practices as well as hang out in the pits.

Ev,
So what'd ya think of this last race in Dallas? Bubba blew them away! Though, Carmichael showed he was a true champ in the way he congratulated Stewart at the end. Good MX!

Yeah, Bubba's scary fast. His hole shot in the heat was amazing. I was thinking Carmichael has really grown-up, from the hot headed kid that blamed everyone else, in the last couple years. It's impressive to see him accept his losses without blame.

I think Ricky still has the champion smarts and while Bubba is amazingly fast he stills needs to grow up and slow down a bit. Meanwhile, poor Travis. I don't think there's a nicer kid in the sport. He always is so happy and enthusiastic...and hurt. I feel bad for him.
