Well I checked out the Dunlop d606 dual sport tires, finally. For a dual sport tire they don't look half bad. I bought a set and had them mounted (mounting is free at Zoom Cycles. One might argue that it's built into the price but I'm lazy). Anyway, not having them on the bike, this would be a very early first impression, but I think they show promise.
They have a farily aggressive knob pattern. They are a little round on the shoulder, but that is to be expected in a DS tire. They seem to be a fairly hard compbound so wear might not be a problem either.
Anyways, hold tight for updates. I hope to get them on the bike tonight and get some riding in on the weekend, if I don't get rained out. |

| Well so far the weather has limited my riding, but I do have a few miles on the tires. On the street they seem to hold fairly well. I did get one day of good dirt riding in with them. It was almost perfect conditions. The ground was damp and tacky, not too wet or dry. I have to say in perfect conditions the tires work great! It was a great day of riding. I only have about 50 miles on them so far though, so well see how they hold up. |
