I'm getting a KTM 450 for the purpose of dual sporting, and would like to mount my Garmin III+ (yes, it's old, but works great). What kind of mount would be recommended?

Innovative Design Concepts makes some really nice, bullet proof, metal mounts. However, to be honest, I've been using the RAM mount almost exclusively these days. I really like thier mounting system, even though that actual GPS hold is plastic. I ain't busted mine yet, though YMMV (Your Milage May Vary). We've done reviews on both of them, but searching the archives, it looks like the review for the RAM Mount is MIA. I'll have to try to dig that up, or write a new one. They are both worth looking into.

I have a RAM I use on my xrl and it has held up pretty well. I tried to order a metal case from IMS but found out I had to wait 4 to 6 weeks, after I paid in full.
