What is it that you want to do with it? How are you going to ride it? Where? I've been away from dirt-biking since I was a kid. Now that I'm 41, my kids have gotten me back into it. I'm not gonna race, but I picked up an RM125 for a good adrenaline rush. Depending on how you are going to ride could help to determine what bike you should get.
-Good luck,

Both of those bikes are going to be more street oriented than dirt oriented. For very casual off-roading they'd be fine. The KLR is a little bit bigger with a tad more suspension travel and seat height. The XT is about 20lbs lighter which you will notice if you do much off-road riding at all. If you want to do more off-road riding, I'd look else where.
Knowing what you plan to do will help a lot in giving more advice than that. |
