My stock rear tire on my '05xr650L is starting to look a little thin. So I ask everyone here to throw a few makes and models at me for a replacement. I do about 70% dirt-30%street, the dirt is all over range, but mostly semi hard. I have saw the write up on the 606 and they look good.

BRP, I was walking by a KLR650 so I stopped to take a look at the rear tire. I have never heard of this brand. But it was a Metzelli or something like that. I saw that michelin had some dual sports tires too. I hope that helps. To tell you the truth. I really don't know much about the dual sport stuff.

Sorry, I haven't been around the last couple days. This has been a really bad week at the "day job." Anyway, I can't recomend the Dunlop 606, enough! It is one great dual sport tire. I have 606s front and rear on my XR600. I have about 40 miles of wet pavement riding and another 60 (or so) miles of dirt on them. They are holding up well so far, are very predictable, have great traction in the dirt, etc... I love these tires...

The Pirelli MT21 is another very popular dual sport tire. I haven't used these, but I don't think you would go wrong with them either...

If you want a less dirt, more street tire the Metzeler Saraha are good tires...
