Congrats to Ricky Carmichael on the championship, well deserved. CRF_Tom came over to the house and we watched the races 125cc and 250cc. What a crazy set of races, there was holeshot upsets as well as alot of crashes. In the first heat for the 250cc Stewart and Chad Reed were neck and neck, until Chad Reed went down so Bubba would think he was in the clear until he went over the bars right after Reed went down. James was out of the heat and would have to run the semi, which he took first to get into the main event. Kevin Whindham ended up taking first and Reed in second. They advanced to the main event. Larocco went down hard and was momentarily dazed and confused. He recovered but did not race anymore.

Ricky Carmichael smoked his heat and would be in the main event. James Stewart even though his bike was really damaged and hurt a rib continued onto the semis and took first place would continue to the main event. So now it's all the top dogs in the main event. Neither of the them got the holeshot but James Stewart passed Ricky Carmichael and blew the competition away. Chad Reed managed second place and Ricky tool third for the championship. Ricky did not race hard and he knew he only needed a podium to take the championship. Reed alittle upset and James Stewart doing a hell of a job with breathing problems from his heat race. My hat goes off to Bubba. Next season will be very interesting.

Wonder if LaRocco had any serious injuries. He did take a hard lick coming off his bike. Left shoulder, meet last whoop.......OUCH!

I have a question. CspineRider and I were talking about this subject. It's actually his thoughts. But I started to wonder the same thing. What is the difference between SX and MX? If you look on the AMA website there is no difference in riders. So what gives?
