Arenacross: Lange clinches second straight championship.
Posted by: EvMon on Feb 01, 2005 - 02:57 PM
Racing News Denver, Colo.(Jan. 28, 2005) -- Richmond Kawasaki’s Darcy Lange captured his second National Arenacross title in two years by wrapping up the 2004-2005 championship at Round 9 at Denver's Pepsi Center Friday night.
Lange had already clinched the Dash for Cash title last weekend in Guthrie, OK. "Preparation, dedication and a 'never give up [attitude]' got me through to win another National Championship," Darcy said after the presentation of his second #1 plate.

The probability is high that Richmond Kawasaki will also hold the #2 plate as Jeff Northrop is well ahead in points.

Shogun Yamaha backed Chad Johnson’s 250cc main event win in Denver bumped him up to the 3rd place spot. PPG/Motoworld Racing.com/Suzuki’s Branden Jesseman traveling to Indianapolis for the first round of the Eastern Regional THQ Supercross competition, C. Johnson is almost assured the spot. With top finishes in Colombus, Kevin Johnson will probably pass Jesseman in points.

The mix continues as Josh Demuth currently sits in 6th place but, is out with injuries. Evan Laughride and Brad Hagseth need to break their tie. Demuth will probably run the #8 plate again next year.
